3 star club with 5 star prices
We have been members of the Chiswick Riverside club their ‘premium club’ for almost 3 years now and I would not recommend this club to anyone. They charge premium fees with high joining fees and their standards are very low. Some areas of the facilities are not clean. The family locker rooms are dated, their showers are terrible especially when you have kids with mould everywhere. The food is outrageous for a 'health club'. Very poor communication and the customer service is not what you would expect when you spend that much money. There is a woman there called Kisha, she is arrogant and disrespectful and she is not the only one, there is a life guard who yells at kids in a very aggressive way, a couple of swimming instructors who clearly don't want to be there and don't care about business so they don't bother replying to emails. The ever changing staff at the cafe is no better either.
No wonder why the club is losing members
every year. Be careful they will promise you
the moon when you sign up. We're looking to
switch soon and hopefully get better value for
our money.

I visited the Mayfair gym twice yesterday fresh on arrival from a flight from Australia that coincided with London’s hottest day on record. Despite me arriving with a stack of luggage the staff were friendly, helpful & kind. This overweight, 51 year old who last held a gym membership in the nineties was made to feel very welcome. The facilities were beautiful, clean & spacious. Even the coffee was exceptional. On my first day I attended a reformer Pilates class & used the pool & steam room. I was too late for the beginner Pilates class but the instructor graciously allowed me into the intermediate class. Not once was I made to feel uncomfortable or silly. I’m looking forward to attending again ASAP.

Terrible that the club has been closed now for two days on the two hottest days of the year. A gym like virgin for the price of membership should have better resources so that the club can stay open to facilitate guest use.
No compromise from staff about leaving the outdoor pool open for people to call off and not even allowing people to shower after swimming.
I assume this will be compensated for in membership price!
I expect better

Helpful staff, amazing facilities at Virgin Active Sheffield

I've tried to comeback when you first opened after the pandemic but I found that your staff did not care about the needs of their clients to make the visit enjoyable :
the lift was broken down for months and Had to stop visiting the club as I could't handle the stairs .
Recently I came back and the same problem seemed to be there :sorry the lift is not working , the jacobi is out of order and the steam room waiting for parts to be replaced.
